First images from Luna-25 The IKI RAS (Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences) completed an express analysis of the telemetry and measurement data received from the scientific instruments aboard the Luna-25 probe, which were recorded on August 13 at a distance of about 310,000 kilometers from Earth. All instruments showed full operability and readiness for lunar exploration. Their analog and digital nodes and blocks worked perfectly. The STS-L on-board television cameras transmitted the first images from space, which will go down in the history of Russian cosmonautics. These images show the elements of the probe against the background of Earth, from which it has departed forever, and against the background of the Moon, to which it will soon arrive. The third picture shows the mission emblem and onboard manipulator bucket.
